Social Studies-Frosh Core & Sophomore World Cultures
My name is Greg Gandolfo and this is my first year as a Social Studies teacher here at Santa Ynez High School. I graduated from Santa Ynez in 1995 and then attended Allan Hancock Community College and Boise State University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in History & my Secondary Teaching Credential. For five years, I taught Special Education at Goleta Valley Junior High School while coaching varsity football at Bishop Diego.
In 2005, after much thought, I decided that I would take a break from the teaching profession in order to work from home and be Mr. Mom to my first son. I continued working from home until both my boys were of school age. I am now back where I always wanted to be-in the classroom, teaching.
My wife, Sarah, and our 2 boys live in Santa Ynez. Sarah is a math teacher at Jonata. We enjoy spending time as a family, hiking, and walking (while people watching) through Solvang.
I could not be more proud of teaching at Santa Ynez. Working here was truly my ultimate dream when I first discovered my love of teaching and the desire to become an educator and a coach.
If you see me around town please do not hesitate to say hello and introduce yourself.
