AP Information - To Register and Pay for AP Exams Offered at SYHS
- Students need to first enroll in their class sections on their College Board account. Please enroll by going to: https://www.collegeboard.org/
- Once completing the enrollment then visit total registration to pay for your exam. To pay for the exam use the online registration system by going to: https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/53340
Important Dates Regarding Registration:
- Tuesday, August 13th – Registration Begins. Each AP exam is $110.
- Friday, Nov. 8th at 12pm – Final order deadline. Orders after this will incur a $40 late fee in addition to the exam fee.
- March 7th at 12:00pm – Final order deadline. Can not order an exam after this date.
- March 7th at 12:00pm- Registrations that have not been paid for will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.
- Unused or canceled exam fee – after Nov. 15th if you decide not to take an exam that was ordered for you, the charge is $40 per exam.

Advanced Placement® courses are for students with exceptionally rapid learning abilities, advanced school skills, preparing for an Advanced Placement® examination, and/or planning to attend a college/university after high school.
AP® courses are designed to follow a college class pace and require high-level time management and study skills. Taking these courses shows universities a committed interest in topics and an ability to manage rigorous course loads.
Universities around the world recognize AP when making admission decisions, course requisites, and awarding university credit. Qualifying AP Exam scores earn university credit in nearly all universities in the United States and Canada and are recognized in 60 other countries worldwide.
AP Credit
In order to receive college credit students have the opportunity to take an exam for each AP course they are taking. Exams will be in May and be graded on a 5-point scale. Universities usually give credit for scores of 3, 4, or 5.
